Circles are allowed!
Classroom furniture may be configured so that students can sit in a circle, but students need to be 6 feet apart at all times. There is no “15 minute limit” for student conversations, as classrooms are “contract- traceable” units. Kate, Ryan and Chris Urban have been experimenting!
Join us in a fun project: Creating posters and stickers!
Alex Rawson and I are inviting you to join us in creating a set of HARKNESS POSTERS for those who may want to display them in your classrooms. Get involved and share your ideas by clicking on this Harkness Moments slide show to add more slides with Harkness skills you are working on this year. We will print these off and laminate them to make a set of posters for each person who wants a set to display in your room. In addition, we will create stickers from these slides so you can reward students after discussions!

Setting norms for online discussions is KEY!
Remember to invite your students to work with you to set norms for online discussions! It is really critical to do this at the beginning of a new quarter with new students. These norms can be posted on your google classroom, in the zoom chat, and can be continually revisited. Having cameras ON is critical unless there is a specific reason not to have students do so.
